Our Addison Angels Tribute Page

That day when our world seems to come tumbling down, when our wonderful pup seems so poorly, and we worry that he or she won't pull through can be one of the scariest in our lives. Then comes the diagnosis of Addison's and we wonder what this is, many of us never having heard of it before - what does it mean and how long can our dog live with this disease ? Before we know it, we have become our own little experts in dealing with Addison's, many of us helping others who are just starting out on the journey and wondering why we ever got so worried about it in the first place. Our dogs carry on, setting new goals, taking part in every activity they would have done had they not had Addison's.

Then, all too soon it seems, the years pass and our Addison's dog, who has had a very full and happy life, joins the other Addison's angels, leaving behind a huge hole in our hearts. This Angels page is here to honour our dogs, to have a place to share the good memories of them with others; to have a place to come to see them and remember the good times. We hope you enjoy taking a step or two down memory lane with us and rejoice in the lives of our very dear Addison's angels.

Natty
Natty Bumppo 1972-1983

Natty was rescused from the Humane Society in Chicago at six months never having been out of the basement where he was kept. He was the most wonderful dog I ever had. The last few years of his life he was periodically sick; so many trips to the Vet and nothing was ever resolved. Looking back now, after my experience with Addison's disease, I am certain his symptoms were Addison related. How I wish I had know what was happening almost 30 years ago. Steve Soberski

TJ (8/7/1996 27/7 2009)

How could I not fall in love with you the minute I set my eyes on you ? Such a handsome face. That nose of yours was never far from my hand in the years to come. You had a zest for life, my happy lad and such an amazing capacity to love everyone you met so they just had to love you back. Thankyou for all you taught me and for being my friend. I miss you loads - my brave boy, with a big heart. Pam Johnson.

My best buddy and friend who I shared so many fun times with and who I loved so much. It was all too short; I think about our walks and all the hiking we did together with you by my side; you were the best and I miss you so much and I will never forget my best friend. Steve Soberski
